The Germans are world famous audiophiles and are willing to go to some crazy lengths to get that “Konzerthalle Gefühl”. Berlin’s luxury audio system producer Burmester are not only able to fulfil those demanding requests but to also go a step further and give their customers a wide range of customization options from 24k gold casings and saltwater resistant wiring (intended specifically for your super-yacht). I was asked by their CEO and team to give their ageing brand a modern facelift and new website that would attract a younger audience and also meet their existing customer’s/fan’s expectations.

Fit for a King!

Strategically the site was designed with the understanding that its users understood that ‘luxury means exclusivity’ and ‘quality has no price’. As such product prices were only shown once a user had been accepted into the ‘Burmester Club’. Once ‘Burmester Club’ status had been achieved each product could then be configured in so many ways that an infinite combination of finishes, casings colourings and wirings were possible. The result was a €500,000 sound system in your shopping basket that no one else on Earth would or could ever have - basically a one ‘in a half’ million sound system.
